DAY 72 / JAN 10
A perfectly dreary morning. The sun barely shone through the low haze over the horizon little a white disc in the sky. The chill in the air was not overwhelming, but did complement the desolation of another day. I meandered to another meeting and organized my day.
Hungry this morning… can't wait 'til lunch. Then I have to get some counselings done before the day ends.
Yeah, well, I blew off the counselings, so I guess they'll wait til tomorrow.
I keep hearing and reading about this crazy Muslim Cartoon situation going on around the world. I find it very disturbing that a single cartoon depicting Mohammed with a bomb could incite such fury as to have people killed, buildings torched, and general mayhem across the globe. I mean really, it was a cartoon, it's not like he burned the Koran or beheaded muslims or anything like that. Sometimes, it seems like some people just want to start a fight over the littlest issue. And no matter what you do to appease them (fire the cartoonist, the editor, etc), they still go on burning down embassies and rioting – even rioting against people and places that had NOTHING to do with the cartoon! Now that I've expressed my displeasure at their actions, I had better watch my back to make sure I don't get mortared or bombed while at work!
